You Gotta Love it!

One of the things I learned a long time ago was that if you don’t like what you doing in terms of a job, try to apply for something you do like. The problem with the working world is that there are a lot of people working in jobs for just the money. Obviously Money makes the world go round but you only get one go round in this life so why not enjoy what you do? The productivity of Businesses is going to suffer if you don’t like your job. So to sum it up, you are doing yourself and your employer a disservice and the customer a disservice by working somewhere you hate. Think about it! Look at the individuals in a job and you can pretty much tell whether they like what they do or not. Discourteous behavior tells me “I hate this job” but a spunky sales person who approaches you and tries to be courteous and helpful to me seems to love what they do. I was supposed to be a certified public account but I wanted to work on cars and so I did. Then I graduated to trucks and then became a teacher at a Tech school and 53 years later I am as much in love with this business as I was when I started. So be careful and do what you love or life can be miserable otherwise!

Technology a Distraction??

With all the new technology out there in the new Vehicles being manufactured, we need to remember that Safety is the Prime Directive as Star Trek always taught us. We have Bluetooth and Dash displays for cell phone integration, and GPS capabilities but we need to make sure to pay attention to the road and if needed, pull over and access technology there, not while driving. Life is short and let's be Techno savy in a responsible way. Word has it now that there is technology out there to connect your phone to the dash display and use your smartphone to save a couple thousand dollars on the cost of the vehicle. This is great but I still maintain that we pull over to access it and not while driving. Am I preaching, you bet, but when you lose friends along the way as a result of it, it really starts to hit home and I hope you will understand the importance of Highway safety protocal. Take care of yourself out there!!!
