Emission Basics Operation

I have added some Emission stuff on the OBDII Basics page. You will find Catalytic Converter Basics and Oxygen Sensor Basics. These need to be discussed because they are always mis-diagnosed. How many O2 sensors are replaced that really did not need to be replaced. Catalytic Converters do go bad but there are a few other things that will cause the same symptoms as a bad Converter. Clogged fuel filters and colapsed exhaust pipes will give the same symptoms but this is where a proper diagnosis is CRITICAL. Always double check a diagnosis before performing a repair and then verify the repair and you will never go wrong!
